- Lessons Learned from the Design Rationales in E-Health Junior; Unlocking the Game of Perspectives
- Summary
- Designing for health is like stepping into a dynamic playground—a space where diverse perspectives, priorities, and expertise collide and interact. In the E-Health Junior project, this playground became a stage for harmonizing design rationales across stakeholders, from target audience, healthcare professionals, researchers to game developers and more. This talk introduces the "playground of design" as a conceptual framework for navigating these complex interactions. We share key lessons learned from the collaborative process, including how stakeholder perspectives shaped design decisions, how tensions between priorities were addressed, and what this process teaches future designers about balancing diverse inputs in games for health. Attendees will gain insights into the challenges and opportunities of navigating the playground of design and the critical takeaways from the E-Health Junior project that can inform future work in the field.
