- Wouter Sluis-Thiescheffer is a professor in the Media Design research group at HAN University of Applied Sciences. He started as a linguist specializing in psycholinguistics and went on to complete his doctoral research on design with children. He uses his knowledge of language, psychology, and design as an expert in user research, playful media, and concept development. He works with a wide range of user groups and has led international UX studies with companies such as Elsevier, Randstad, and Philips. As a designer-researcher, he works on human-machine interactions in digital transformations and innovations, including healthy lifestyles with exergames and technology adoption in mental healthcare.

- Education Escape Room for Mental Health Professionals
- Summary
- We are presenting the effectiveness of an educational escape room for enhancing the the skills of professionals in e-mental health (eMH). The innovative approach: - Significantly increased participants' knowledge and confidence in utilizing eMH tools. - Enhanced their ability to apply eMH techniques in simulated clinical scenarios. - Improved their overall attitudes towards incorporating technology into mental health practice. This study provides insights into the potential of gamified learning experiences to improve the quality of mental health care delivery and the design thereof. The Educational Escape Room was the result of a co-design effort with University of Tilburg, GGzE, TU/e, Fontys en Gamesolutionslab.
